Description
Gaba Oolong – Calming, Fruity Taiwanese High-Mountain OolongHigh Mountain GABA Oolong is a beautifully smooth and fruity Taiwanese oolong crafted for both drinking pleasure and a naturally calming tea experience. It's grown in ShiBi, Yunlin County, Taiwan, at around 1, 200–1, 300 meters, and made from the prized Chin Xin cultivar, hand-picked from high-mountain tea gardens. GABA tea was originally developed through Japanese tea research as a special processing method to increase the natural content of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a compound associated with relaxation. During production, the leaves are oxidized in a carefully controlled, oxygen-free vacuum chamber, which encourages GABA development while softening the tannins. The medium-brown rolled leaves are then finished with a light baking, adding gentle warmth and balance. Tasting Notes
