It's grown at an altitude of approximately 800 meters above sea level in China's beautiful northern Fujian Province. After the mature leaves are harvested and dried, the tea is aged for three years to develop its unique character. In Fujian, aged white tea is treasured, and the longer it rests, the more prized it becomes. Aging transforms Shou Mei, deepening its sweetness and mellowing its character.
